On last week’s episode of Queue Points we revisited the very interesting moment in #HipHop50 where a hip-hop compilation spawned an R&B juggernaut. Thirty years ago, on February 16, 1993, Flavor Unit, Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere’s musical crew dropped their compilation CD - “Roll Wit Tha Flava.” The album is a time capsule of what was happening in early 90s East Coast hip hop.
